There were some houses that were once part of the count of ovens, which were transferred to the Diocese of Viseu in principles of the last century. The diocese has made works of adaptation and transformed it into a beautiful architectural set. The seminary of St. Joseph would be inaugurated on 11 October 1934. In this academic year 1934/35, the diocese has changed there for the group of guys who wanted to attend the seminar.
In 1990, there was a reshuffle of the Seminar and implemented new crops in Thursday to promote the economic livelihood of the community. The prolonged stay of students up until the academic year 2006 / 7.
